BaGG is Dead

Long Live BaGG!

Some big changes are in store for us this month. Affective June 2008 Bondage A Go Go will be a online membership exclusive community (a virtual club). The venue (Glas Kat) will only exist only as a meeting place where we assemble and socialize.

This serves several purposes, primarily so we can fit the definition of a Membership Based community and legally offer you (the Members) a reduced fee without legal complications. Guests attending the Venue without a Membership can then be charged a Non-Member fee and admitted (or denied entry) based on those criteria.

This leaves you (the community) responsible for (and able to shape) your social environment with my oversight.

Being an “active” member of the Bondage A Go Go Tribe or a Premium member of Tribe.net is all that is required to be a member in good standing of the organization.

To be considered an “active” Member of the Tribe you have to be a PM or BaGG Tribe Member. You must attend the monthly Member Meeting (Tribe Fiesta) and pay the $1.00 dues. We will track your attendance and provide you a one-month grace period (if you are unable to attend this week).

Anybody who has not logged on for 3 months or more (or) fails to RSVP and attend the Membership Meetings (Fiesta) will relinquish their Membership Privileges. You can apply to either the Moderator or myself for remediation if you get the boot by circumstance or oversight.

MEMBERS will pay $1.00 dues at the Membership Meeting and a $5.00 fee subsequent weeks. Members can bring up to 1 guest at any time for the same fee.

NON MEMBERS will be admitted at our discretion and pay $7.00 per person before 10:30 and $10 per person after in appropriate attire. Those attending in casual/athletic attire will be admitted at our discretion and pay up to $20 per person (sliding scale).

We will be collaborating on a Code of Conduct and other membership issues in the coming weeks.

PM me if you have any questions and RSVP this week if you can! You can expect the number of folks on this tribe to decline considerably this month. Don’t concern yourself and thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, Shatter, but today I tried to work with a terrible migraine because admin saw fit to admonish me for unplanned PTO. This means I have to "plan" my migraines from now on. My brain decided to leave today and the empty hole is still hurting me. I always plan on going to BaGG, but I just don't make it on Wednesday nights. I would hate to lose membership in something I've belonged to at some level since 1997 by having a job that makes it hard on me to be out in the middle of the week. I do so miss seeing you guys.

Jagged, you (along with 45-50) other Members are considered "Legacies" and like the PM's will not have to attend. Just log in to Tribe 4 x a year and its all good.

(And) yes, this is in response to a threatened action to BaGG and myself. I have tried to make this hella simple. Join the Tribe, participate at whatever level you desire and you are one of Us. If not, you are one of Them. All it takes to change from being an Us to a Them is registering to Tribe for free and joining the tribe.

If anyone wants to pay more I certainly dont mind but I wanted to continue to offer benefits and incentives to the BaGG Tribe.

                  You meant Jaded there.

Not that I don't wish I was a Legacy, but I only started going about 3 years ago, and I've not been able to get back to BaGG for about a year now. Hell, I appear to have lost my Tribe Star even... Can someone like me remain a BaGG Tribe member and still pay the normal 7.00 entry fee?

What is the relationship of the Legacy members to VIP cardholders? Is there any intrinsic overlap?
I ask because i am currently without car, and getting to BaGG on the train would work, but necessitate leaving shortly before midnight, which seems to defeat the purpose of the exercise.
Of course, this may be the motivation I need to get a car. Or seek out a carpool. Or otherwise find / create a solution.
                  • This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.

The premise is that the discount can only be offered to Tribe members in a way that does not infringe on the rights of the general public. I can confer membership status in several ways. Asking for an RSVP and occasional audience for the Fiestas should not be too much to ask. Remember, you can always just join Tribe as a PM and ::poof:: all your troubles will vanish. If this is too much, RSVP, attend and pay your dues.

"Legacies" are strictly my call on a case by case basis.

So . . . (a little confused here still, even after reading all 24 comments so far) does the Tribe Membership mean just the difference between $5.00 and $7.00 on all nights except the $1.00 Fiesta night? It makes me sad to think that I couldn't be a member simply because it hasn't been feasible for me to attend lately due to work and other necessary life responsibilities I've had to turn my attention to . . . =(

That's a tight document George, that's like our declaration of independence and bill of rights all in one shot!

I'm confused. So, if I can't make it to all the "meetings", do I have my name on the naughty list?

See the response to Daiv's post. You can either become a PM of Tribe.net (or) RSVP, attend and pay your $1 dues. If you dont make it down for the Fiesta and still want the Member discount I will figure out some remediation process.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. How do you become a PM? I've been going to BAGG for years. (Not as long as the Legacies, but as least 4-5) But my job requires an awful lot of traveling, so it makes it difficult to plan for a specific date. I do however on average go at LEAST 3 times a month. Also with the frequent drive to SF from San Jose I have to take (especially with the rising of gas prices every week). It's making harder to find somebody to split the gas bill.

Shadow, you'll have to do it like I do, pay the $5/month to be a cool kid with a star next to your name on Tribe. It was funny because the other day, I was looking at someone's Tribe and there were all the ads and crap littering the margins of the page... and then I realized, I don't have them because I'm a PM. Oh, the perks. :)

I guess this means I *really* have to keep tribe going well...

And to think, I proposed the idea of paid tribes (tribes that you pay to become a member of) only two weeks ago to the powers that be.

Allow me to put some things into plain English.

There is a night club in San Francisco on Wednesday nights called Bondage a Go Go. It costs $7 before 10:30 and $10 after. If you are off the street looking like you don't belong at the club you may find yourself paying as much as $20. That's the breaks. Club are allowed to do this in order to encourage people to keep a certain vibe. Clubs may also flatly deny entry based on a dress code. That's the breaks. George is teh Promoter of Bondage a Go Go, the nightclub.

There is a web site Called Tribe. On the web site called tribe there is a group called Bondage a Go Go. We're and online club. We happen to share the same name as the club on Wednesday nights. Once a month we have a meeting at the club, on the 1st Wednesday of every month. I, being the moderator, have a deal worked out with the promoter of Bondage a go go, the nightclub, for Bondage a go go tribe, my Group, to get in for a reduced rate on our Meeting night.

Bondage a Go Go the Nightclub and Bondage a Go Go teh tribe are mutually exclusive of each other, however a LOT of people are members of my group and attend the club.

Bondage a Go Go the club offers VIP memberships to some of the patrons. They also have special deals with Citadel members. This has no relevance or bearing on Bondage a Go Go tribe or The Citadel tribe. Again, all of these things are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE of each other.
